Dermal Fillers

DermafillerYour skin’s outward appearance is a direct result of the way it is supported. When skin’s natural collagen and hyaluronic acid – the natural providers of your skin’s volume and structure – diminishes, wrinkles and lines begin to form. Factors which spur on the formation of these lines include aging, sun-exposure, disease, injury, heredity and lifestyle.

To combat this, Eccles Clinic offers treatment with Dermal Fillers.

Dermal fillers are substances that are injected just below the surface of the skin to replenish the supporting elements, filling lines, wrinkles and scars from the inside out. Dermal fillers can restore a smoother, more youthful appearance. While most of the new fillers do not require patch testing and are not animal based products, your consultant will discuss this treatment with you more thoroughly.

Safe, natural and effective, dermal fillers are a medium lasting treatment with immediate results that smooth away wrinkles and lines for fuller, softer lips and skin.

To maintain optimal correction, touch-up filler injections are usually needed when temporary dermal filler products are used. The frequency of repeat dermal filler treatments depends on the characteristics of the original filler product selected.Without ongoing treatments, the temporary dermal filler product is gradually absorbed by the body and your face returns to its original contours.

Questions to ask:

When thinking about dermal filler injection treatments, you should consider the following;

  • Where are your problem areas?
  • When do you want to see results?
  • Who is performing the treatment and do they have the proper training and credentials?
  • Do official bodies in Europe (European Medical Devices directives) and the American Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approve the product? Make sure your doctor is well informed regarding all safety information provided by the manufacturer.

At Eccles Clinic we only use products with reliable safety profiles. Our clinic features Dermal Filler treatment with:

Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring protein which is part of the connective and supportive tissues in the body. A non-animal stabilised form is used to optimise safety. There are no allergic reactions associated with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers because its structure is identical in all living organisms. Restylane® is a Hyaluronic acid dermal filler made into a crystal clear injectable gel most commonly used for facial lines and lip enhancement cosmetic treatments, and carries a very small risk of infection.

To minimise discomfort, a topical or local anesthetic can be applied to the area prior to treatment. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are safe, effective and can last up to six to nine months.
