LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Today, our clinic uses the award winning Elite laser system, recognised for its outstanding treatment of hair removal for all skin types. The Elite combines the Alexanderite laser, commended for its effectiveness in treating lighter skin types, with the high-powered Nd:YAG laser – successful in treating darker skin types – into one versatile laser unit. No other system offers this combination. With the Elite laser we are able to treat a comprehensive range of skin and hair types with maximum safety and efficiency in hair removal. This unique laser system also has variable pulse width with both lasers, which allows for customised laser treatments for optimum results. For best results in hair removal nothing, at present, surpasses the Elite laser system.
Cooling System
As part of our state-of-the-art technological offering, we also offer SmartCool, the number one cooling system available. Using a "double cooling" technique, SmartCool uses the body's natural cooling process in conjunction with a specifically engineered external cooling system. It exerts cold air to -4 degrees Celsius throughout the treatment with no side effects.
Cooling systems such SmartCool are used during your laser treatment to cool the surface area of the skin, making the experience significantly more comfortable but also minimising the chance of skin damage. Laser Therapy for Skin Conditions
Although the Elite Laser is primarily used for laser hair removal, it has been acclaimed as the gold standard for the removal of pigmented lesions, spider veins and telangectasia (facial veins).To ensure our services cater to any of our patient’s skin problems, the clinic also offers the Cynosure PhotoGenica V-Star Pulsed Dye Laser. The laser works by emitting a powerful yellow light which selectively destroys targeted blood vessels, leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. Originally designed for the removal of skin lesions composed of blood vessels, over the years new and exciting alternative uses for this laser have been found. While temporary bruising can occur with erythema (redness) following treatment, the effects rarely last more than ten days. An alternative method is available which does not cause redness but requires a higher number of repeat treatments. For the best option in your treatment, speak with your consultant.
The Cynosure V-Star can be used for the treatment of a full range of vascular lesions including:
