Lorraine Power completed a Diploma in Nursing Studies in 2002 before graduating with an honours degree from Trinity College, Dublin in 2003. Lorraine continued to work at St. James Hospital in Dublin while completing additional studies with the Irish Family Planning Association. Following this, she travelled to Australia, where she continued her career in the busy A&E department of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney.
On returning to Ireland in late 2004, Lorraine took up a position with Clane General Hospital in Kildare, where her day to day role included acting as the Scrub Nurse for all theatre procedures. In late 2006, she undertook a Post Graduate Diploma in Operating Room Nursing as well as an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support course, at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Since then, Lorraine has continued to work in the medical field with a particular interest in surgery and theatre procedures.
